 I'm still here.  I am struggling through getting used to a new computer and camera along with the normal winter blahs.
So no new pictures.  I always feel with out images my words aren't enough.  Tricky.
I finished Senor's sweater in time for his birthday.  It fits really well.  Slimmer than he is used to, but I think it looks great.  I can't wait to actually take a picture.  You all are going to be impressed.  Promise.
This weekend I am taking my first ever mama break.  I am going to sunny Miami for a conference for school.  So. Happy!  I need some sunshine and rest.  I need to be re-energized by other people passionate about helping the world to a better place.  And helping yourself along the way.
I am about to start seeing clients.  Are you a busy mom?  If you were going to get support in the kitchen, health and life balance what would you ask for?  What do you already know is important to you?
A couple days ago I said something brilliant.  Only because I was focused on the Bug and trying to help him understand what was happening, not because I am inherently brilliant :)
He was in the bathtub with a little cup which he was trying to balance on his knee.  When it fell off he was a little upset and kept trying to get the cup to balance just so.  I said, "Well, you know, balance is right next to falling off.  So sometimes, that will happen.  It is okay, you just have to try again."  After that, we both had a better day.

And look at the toe nails on that bird! Really posting at 6:53AM? Well, getting some balance is always good as is tipping. Hint on the camera, just put it in the heart position and it does everything, unless you are talking about another new camera.

Thanks! The problem I am having is transferring the pictures to the computer. It isn't that I don't know how or that it is hard, just a new step to incorporate that I haven't quite worked in.

Happy 200 posts to me! I can't believe that two years ago I started writing this because I was wanting to craft and be part of the amazing crafting/blogging community I had discovered. Robinia

 Becky and I set out to make a couple of Robinia sweaters in mid-March, which took two months to complete.  Just yesterday, I wove in the ends and wore it.  I'm afraid to block it.   Specs: The Robinia has been making the rounds.  I couldn't see buying the tons of yarn it would take to create the three-strand yarn the designer used, but Becky found this chainette cotton blend, Cantata , that seemed perfect. I've recently realized that making the exact color combination that I liked in the first place is not a bad thing.  It means I get the garment I really loved in the first place. Mods: I made a size XS/S even though I could have made the M according to the designer but everything I knit comes out bigger than expected, even when I gauge swatch right on target.  (I think the blocked weight of the garment just is so much more than the swatch is what causes this, but it's just a theory.)  I didn't wrap any of my floats and it remains to b...

A short list of thoughts 1. Two trips to the pediatrician in two days is too many. Emerson is a little jaundiced and he'll be fine if they would stop poking him. 2. I find myself wanting to do nothing but stare at him. No thinking, just staring. 3. I can't get over how thankful I am to the two women who stayed up all those hours with us during the labor. I always had someone whispering encouragement, holding my hand, prompting a question, pushing my hair back; whatever I needed. And I had known them prior to this for about an hour... Thank you Ellie and Christi! 4. Finally, I have the best husband on the planet. Because all I can keep up with is this tiny person and he isn't complaining about taking care of everything else.
