Now that I got that off my chest... or What Sunday mornings look like

I can get on to the post that I have been trying to make since Sunday. Everyday this week we have had some kind of responsibility in the evening until now! Yay for Fridays!!

Anyway, here are some pictures from my world:

Last Sunday morning was spent in bed goofing. We had both been out late Saturday night and I didn't get out of bed until about 1pm. I did eat and play with the dog and take pictures and sleep some more- just all from bed!

This is what it looks like from my bed. With the green cover on it you amlost feel like you could drift away into the lotus blossoms.

This little one makes sure you don't drift too far before allowing her a romp in the yard and fresh bowl of food.

But this is my favorite. Not because we look so beautiful or because the picture is all that great but it reminds me of the love and calm in this house and that makes me so happy I could burst.

Any day in bed is a good day. Even if you're not feeling so hot..cold..well...too bad that most are limited to Sundays...but then if they came every day would I enjoy them so much?

Happy 200 posts to me! I can't believe that two years ago I started writing this because I was wanting to craft and be part of the amazing crafting/blogging community I had discovered. These amazing , vivacious artists , mothers and creators . Everyday I would read their blogs and be blown away by beautiful pictures of wonderful things that they were creating. Robinia

 Becky and I set out to make a couple of Robinia sweaters in mid-March, which took two months to complete.  Just yesterday, I wove in the ends and wore it.  I'm afraid to block it.   Specs: The Robinia has been making the rounds.  I couldn't see buying the tons of yarn it would take to create the three-strand yarn the designer used, but Becky found this chainette cotton blend, Cantata , that seemed perfect. I've recently realized that making the exact color combination that I liked in the first place is not a bad thing.  It means I get the garment I really loved in the first place. Mods: I made a size XS/S even though I could have made the M according to the designer but everything I knit comes out bigger than expected, even when I gauge swatch right on target.  (I think the blocked weight of the garment just is so much more than the swatch is what causes this, but it's just a theory.)  I didn't wrap any of my floats and it remains to b...

A short list of thoughts 1. Two trips to the pediatrician in two days is too many. Emerson is a little jaundiced and he'll be fine if they would stop poking him. 2. I find myself wanting to do nothing but stare at him. No thinking, just staring. 3. I can't get over how thankful I am to the two women who stayed up all those hours with us during the labor. I always had someone whispering encouragement, holding my hand, prompting a question, pushing my hair back; whatever I needed. And I had known them prior to this for about an hour... Thank you Ellie and Christi! 4. Finally, I have the best husband on the planet. Because all I can keep up with is this tiny person and he isn't complaining about taking care of everything else.
