At 18 Months~

You:

Driving Lesson Crop

: Must take the train with you on almost every walk.  It very nearly had to take a bath with you this morning.
: Have been switched to morning baths because night baths were too invigorating.
: Are really making headway on the language front.  Though we often don't know what you mean, it is clear that you are using words.  A few hilariously sound like cuss words.  You say "shit", "cock" (which means cat or car), and "bitch" alot.  We try very hard not to laugh.
: Love books.  We spend hours reading every day now. Especially "Puppies are like that", "Hop on Pop", "Are you my Mother?", and "Go, Dog, Go!"
: Like to go outside and crunch in the leaves.
: Make us crazy with the animal water dish.  Stop pouring it everywhere!
: Love kisses.  Once we start you keep asking for them.
: Are playing pretend.  Sometimes you make the noise for a car when playing with a toy car, but also with food (while running it around the plate) and you like to "feed" your frog.
: Love dancing to live bands.
: Can walk a four inch wide board, one foot in front of the other.
: Want to watch construction sites all day.  This is really nice for mama. :)
: Are getting really into Sesame Street and Your Baby Can Read.
: Can use a spoon and fork fairly well but prefer to use them as drum sticks.
: Like to turn your rocket and car over to do "maintenance" on them.
: Turn the rocket and car right side up to use them as step stools.
: Love that it is your job to feed the cats and dog every morning.
: Make us crazy and crazy in love with you every day.

18 months, and he loves kisses! I have plenty of kisses for him, and leaves, and lots of things he can point to and say, "Cock," and I will try not to laugh but I'm not promising anything.

See you soon. Mwah!

Go Dogs Go! was a favorite book when you were little as well. Lucky for us, we liked it too. "Do you like my hat?"

I don't remember when exactly, but at some point between 18 months and 2 years old Kent heard one of us say "Damn it!" while driving and for a short while after that he would randomly scream "DAMNIT!" over and over again when we were in the car. We tried so hard not to laugh and were mostly successful. But I always had to hide a smirk ;)

No I do not like your hat. My boys love that book too. I can't believe he's 18 months already. Time flies. He sounds like such a clever little guy.

Dangerously clever... and fearless to boot. The funny thing about the cursing is I really don't think he is trying to say those words. He is trying to say something else (I have no idea what yet on shit and bitch) and so it makes it even worse. If he dropped something and then said, "Shit!" I would laugh, but I know he is trying to tell me something else...
