Me and my hair

Image
Here is my hair.... I like it in some moments and not in others. I love crafting with this hair though- no pushing it out of my face or eyes. No fighting with clips and pony tail things... And it is so easy in the morning. I love, love, love that!

Now presenting...

Here it is. The yellow bag that has been taking up all my extra mind bits. What do you guys think (other than that I should be better with the iron....)? It has four pockets; one big one out side, three small inside. I took apart an old belt for the findings.

Senor y mi.

There are so few pictures of the two of us. Even less where we both look alright... We have issues, but who doesn't? This is from Jeremy's birthday. Last night we were all back in the same place. We had fun and still came home by 10:30 or something... I cut all my hair off last week. It is a bit (lot) shorter than I was expecting. I feel kind of butch... I am going to put up another post later with pictures from our jaunts around the neighborhood. I will try to get one of my new do as well. I am nearly done with a bag design I have been working on for the last couple weeks in the rare free moment (or stolen ones) and I hope to be able to show that for some feed back today. Happy Sunday!

Happy Spring!

This little guy is filled with poly and lavender. He first wanted to live in my flowers but then he met the nice lady who is newest in my office. He decided she was the best and nicest person to move in with. She has allowed him to stay on her desk as long as he smells nice and is quiet. He has hairy ears and a beak made out of thread so he thinks being quiet wont be a problem. I want to make more of them. I want to make super fat ones too!

One

So tonight something very cool happened. I sold my first bag to Katie from One World Cafe . Thank you Katie! You totally rock!

Brilliant.

Finally, someone who gets it .

The Big Reveal!

We are taking Spanish. We are taking Spanish because we are visiting Nicaragua for 10 days in August. We are visiting Nicaragua because Seńor's cousin is getting married. I cannot tell you how excited we are about this. Seńor and I were up last night congigating and making flash cards. Too much fun. Hasta la vista!

Psssst!

I have somethings to show you. First- did you know Spring is really on the way???!!! I wasn't quite convinced but these little flowers told me so. At first I thought they were whispering but then they told me they were yelling the whole time. It only sounded like whispers while they were wrapped up, muffled inside the bud. But when they burst open- then you could really hear them. Can you hear them yelling, "Spring is here! Spring is here!"? In addition to those lovelies my tree is still muffled beside the house. I saw a glimmer of the purple that is coming. Our tree is very special because it is two trees grown together. One is a japanese magnolia and the other is a special oak? maple? (help me out mom, I can't seem to remember this...) which blooms white after the purple/maroon. I can't wait!!! All these wondrous things outside inspired me to get to it on this jacket I have been saving for when I had time. (Which I don't actually have, but what do...

buenos dias!

And happy anniversary to us! Can you believe that Seńor and I have been married four years? We've done some crazy things! Do you remember? One of the things that makes our marriage work so well is Seńor always says yes on the important things. "Do you want to go on an adventure?" Yes. "Do you want to learn something new?" Yes. "Can i have a sewing machine?" Yes. "Can you make me breakfast?" YES! And now we are starting a new adventure (no people, I am NOT pregnant) and I can't tell you what it is until a few more details are finished. But I think it is going to be super cool. On a side note- Have any of you ever seen Tennessee Fainting Goats? I got to see them this weekend while hanging out with Miss Nic-nicole.

Moving right along-

So this week has been busy at work and then my sweet mother is here and I am going to see Nicole in Raleigh this weekend so I am getting no sewing done. I did pretty much wrap up one bag last weekend which I will post pictures of when it is complete. And did you know there has been sunshine this week??? And it has been warm(er)??! So Seńor and I have been planning garden things and I am really starting to get excited about the ideas. For some reason this year I have felt like maybe the whole spring thing was a hoax. Perhaps there would never be Spring and we would wallow in darkness and cold for eternity. I don’t know why, but that was what I was thinking. I hope to get some things done on the train to Raleigh this weekend. We’ll see what I come back with…. In the mean time go here to get your cute fix.
