Three months 008

At three months you:

Have really found your hands and arms and boy, they must taste great!
Hold your head up and look around with such interest and excitement.
Are almost ready to roll over and you get so frustrated trying.
Smile so big when your papa comes home.
Giggle, shriek and smile all day long.
Have just started riding facing out in the moby. You even stay awake for a bit because there is so much to see.
Are doing lot's of lap standing and raspberry blowing.
Have already been on your first big road trip, taken the train and you're getting ready for your first camping trip too.
Are taking naps in your own bed.
Sometimes sleep straight through the night till 6 or 7 in the morning.
Are blowing bubbles and drooling.
Give smiles away for free.

We love you and it is a pleasure watching you smile, laugh and grow. Thank you for blessing us with your bubbles and wiggles.

It's so great that you write this. I am sure that Emerson will absolutely love reading all of these thoughts some day. I also really like reading it. His smile is an automatic day brightener - i think I just made up that word. Love, hugs, etc.

Happy 200 posts to me! I can't believe that two years ago I started writing this because I was wanting to craft and be part of the amazing crafting/blogging community I had discovered. These amazing , vivacious artists , mothers and creators . Everyday I would read their blogs and be blown away by beautiful pictures of wonderful things that they were creating. And they had other jobs like being mama or owning a shop. I was inspired! And then we moved into this wonderful house and a month later Senor gave me a sewing machine. Robinia

 Becky and I set out to make a couple of Robinia sweaters in mid-March, which took two months to complete.  Just yesterday, I wove in the ends and wore it.  I'm afraid to block it.   Specs: The Robinia has been making the rounds.  I couldn't see buying the tons of yarn it would take to create the three-strand yarn the designer used, but Becky found this chainette cotton blend, Cantata , that seemed perfect. I've recently realized that making the exact color combination that I liked in the first place is not a bad thing.  It means I get the garment I really loved in the first place. Mods: I made a size XS/S even though I could have made the M according to the designer but everything I knit comes out bigger than expected, even when I gauge swatch right on target.  (I think the blocked weight of the garment just is so much more than the swatch is what causes this, but it's just a theory.)  I didn't wrap any of my floats and it remains to be seen if I'll regret tha

Loot and Inspiration

I have been the recipient of some amazing things the last few weeks. Cindy brought a big box of her grandmother's old sewing things this past weekend. It was full of wonderful things, many of which I actively knew I needed (how often do you get that lucky?!) The scissors are great, old, heavy, entirely reliable. Almost the moment she gave me the box I had put up the thread holder. Not the day before I had looked in my annoying drawer of thread and thought, "I must do something about this mess!" And then Cindy showed up with all those fantabulous things. And right on top was the thread organizer thing! { You can also see on my inspiration wall a washcloth that Erica knitted? for me for x-mas. It is far to pretty to wash my dirty face. I hung it up instead. Also, that blue thing you can just see the side of Seńor bought me at x-mas. And then there is the embroidery hoop with nothing in it...
